Ontovert: Convert instance data to an ontology OWL format
The Ontovert software program converts a tab-delimited text file containing individual instance data entries into an ontology OWL(RDF/XML) data format.
Simple tutorial:
- Select one ontology first: Select an ontology from the drop-down list. This ontology structure will be used as the data format for the instance data.
- Provide input data: The input data should use a tab-delimited test format. This can be copied to our text box in the website, or saved in a text file and then uploaded to our program. It's noted that the first row of the document should be the list of ontology IDs and these ontology IDs are contained in the ontology selected above.
- Output: The output file is an OWL file that list each instance data as instances of corresponding ontology class terms which are defined in the header of the text document. This OWL file can be opened using an OWL editor such as the Protege OWL editor.
